Take a Square 2 - Numeracy Problem - Analysing
This is a great activity to use when teaching fractions at KS4. Students are asked what fractions are formed by folding a square in certain ways, they can investigate this in various ways as suggested in the teachers notes. This could be used in a lesson in which students are developing their ability to apply their knowledge and work systematically. Solutions are provided. Key Question: What fractions can you divide the diagonal of a square into by simple folding?
