Take Six Mini-Basketball Guide For Teachers
Take Six Mini-Basketball is a basketball game designed for primary schools. It can be played in a small hall with two baskets at each end. No formal markings are needed although it is useful to have the area of play marked with a line avoiding obstructions. Where there is enough space Take Six ( players) can become Take Eight (players).
Teams are usually divided 3 boys & 3 girls or 4 boys & 4 girls. Each 3 or 4 play on court for the whole of one period and then the 3 or 4 change. It is good fun when the boys play the boys and the girls play the girls. At inter school tournaments the length of a game can be 2 periods of 4 or 5 minutes
