Jack and the Beanstalk differentiated Story Maps and Power point can be used for Year 1 or Year 2 writers. Each section is split into 3 parts according to ability. The Lower ability writers read their sentence, cut it up and stick it back in the correct order. (Coventry technique). They then write the sentence underneath. Each section has a target at the side for the children to focus on.
