Compton School in Barnet is leading the way with parental engagement and believes that involving parents can dramatically improve pupil attainment. The school makes telephone calls home a key priority, with most teachers making several calls a night to communicate good news as readily as bad to the parents. The school also run a Parenting Skills Support Group. In addition, parents are granted access to the school's e-portal, enabling them to retrieve detailed information on their children's achievement and behaviour.
