Five video lessons starters exploring what the future holds for Antarctica, covering climate change, tourism, and international treaties, for use with KS3 and KS4 pupils.

Each clip can be used individually and covers diverse topics, including an introduction to the idea of researching glaciers and how this relates to theories on the rate of climate change.

The conditions of the International Antarctic Treaty are examined, as well as the ecological footprint of the tourist trade, and the debate over whether mining rigs should be built in Antarctica to access natural resources found there.

Great video, just like the title suggests, it is a great introduction to a unit of work on Antarctica where the aim is for students to investigate, research and come up with possible answers to the questions posed by the scientists.
