BiBi54. This is a useful resource. Thanks. I have changed the font to our handwriting style and have made the letter colour yellow. The bears could be used as a concentration/matching game if printed smaller and laminated. The upper and lower case letters could be on separate bears and matched that way using just the letters taught so far, or all if a larger group activity. You could also have picture cards starting or ending with the focus sounds for another recognition/matching game such as Concentration or Snap for small groups or individual instruction. You could also use them for a 'hunt and find' clue game like 'I Spy' using objects in the room eg: Show the 'Bb' card and they may find book, box, boy etc or give clues for specific items to be found. Great for listening skills, problem solving and oracy. Just having a set available for the children to use during their own initiated activities means they will explore and invent their own games with them. They could then explain these to the group or class.
