I couldn't find any materials on this when I needed to teach my year 3 class what the equals sign REALLY meant.
I have included the lesson plan I used, the 3 differentiated worksheets and a Powerpoint I made.
Please keep in mind this is for year 3/4 children (as from previous comments) not particularly designed for higher year groups.
Also have included a homework set of resource sheets (could alternatively be used in class as a reinforcement at a later date.)
This set of worksheets is written and illustrated for adults and older teenagers who want to improve their basic skills. The worksheets cover place value and rounding off of whole numbers from single digit numbers up to millions and billions with exercises at each stage. Real life examples are also included. Count up in tens, hundreds and thousands.
Each worksheet comes in three versions. Monochrome, colour or on-screen completion ( answers need to be checked by a tutor )
Up to level 2 adult numeracy curriculum level and functional skills.
