A tried, tested and highly challenging unit focused upon Arthur Miller's play 'The Crucible'! This unit has been created specifically to intigrate KS4 skills into the KS3 curriculum to prepare students for the rigors of the new 100% exam GCSE specification. The unit works particularly well with higher ability or gifted Year 9 students. A range of characters and themes are explored throughout the unit, and the play is read and discussed in its entireity. The unit culminates in an end-of-unit reading and writing exam styled upon the 2017 GCSE Specifications for English Language and English Literature.

Although there are some impressive resources and tasks within the PowerPoint, I am disappointed that the first 6 lessons are solely reading and discussions. For a £10 scheme of work I would have expected more comprehensive lessons.
