This is a comprehensive PowerPoint depicting the Hopi, in the past in Homolovi, and in the present, living amongst three mesas just 90 miles away. Students will SEE and understand how geography impacts people's lives in the harshest of environments. The Hopi are a private people. I was fortunate to visit Hopiland through a grant. The pictures and videos bring the Hopi to life. I videoed one famous Hopi silvermaker, and one famous Hopi potter. My second grade students made a coiled Hopi pot out of clay, and a village portraying many of the people in this PowerPoint. I will send you the videos via Dropbox.
