The Iron Man by Ted Hughes (literacy planning,differentiated worksheets+resources) Year 3/4 - Week 1

This is Week 1 of a complete English Scheme of Work related to The Iron Man by Ted Hughes. SOW is fully aligned with National Curriculum and planning is broken down to Learning Intentions (LI’s) and Success Criteria (SC) to encourage children to self assess and edit their work. I have found these to be very helpful and encourage chn’s independent writing. I taught the book last year in Year 3 but will be using the same planning for my Year 4 pupils next year as it is quite challenging.

Week 1 consists of the weekly planning with detailed** instructions**, teacher tips and revision links, all resources and worksheets ready to print, as well as** LI’s and SC** ready to print. All resources, worksheets and planning included are differentiated.

I will soon be uploading the rest of the 5-week-SOW, as I am now in the process of editing and polishing resources. The lesson sequences have worked really well for me and I hope they can help you and your pupils produce high-quality work.
