The Lord asked: 'Have you eaten from the tree?'
The lord forbade the man and his wife not to eat from the tree. There are many hypothesis about the type of tree. Many Christian's artists in the mediaeval painted apples. This may be attributed to the Latin pun with Malum (tree) and Malum (evil). Several Jewish commentator suggested different type of trees like: vine, fig etc. The word apple is derived of the root to blow in Hebrew and there are several appearances of this word (apple) in the bible.
