KS2 Hanukkah - The Maccabees Writing Task
This writing task, based on the ‘Story of the Maccabees’, tasks pupils with writing a letter to their family explaining that they are joining Mattathias and the rebel army. The tasks sheet provides pupils with prompts to help them write and structure their letter. This is a great activity for pupils to develop their creative-writing skills, as well as engaging with the topic on a deeper level. It is ideal for use in the run-up to Hanukkah.
