A four-week unit of work on the different presentations of the nativity in the gospels:
Session 1 - what the gospels really say about the nativity
Session 2 - the different purposes of Matthew and Luke’s gospels
Session 3 - identifying theological concepts in the way people celebrate the nativity
Session 4 - The Magnificat - seeing the gospel through Mary’s eyes.

This unit was written to work alongside the Blackburn Diocese’s curriculum, but would work stand-alone.
Session 3 refers to resources found on the Picturing Christianity resource (https://shop.retoday.org.uk/9781910261057)
This was written for use with a mixed Y5/6 class

Received outstanding feedback through lesson observations from a Church school inspector.
