The Piano - narrative writing activity

After working on the devices used in the Piano animation and writing recounts I gave my class this photo as a stimulus. We talked about what might be beyond the photo, who the person was, why they were there and focused on emotive language. They produced wonderful writing as they were really inspired by the film and this photo.
