The purpose of a letter & letter template

Sorting game I used with my LA Year 3's and Year 2&'s. Chop up the &';what does a letter do' sheet and ask the children to sort into 2 piles: things that a letter does and things that a letter doesn&'t do. The template can be used to help decide what a letter does and doesn&';t do as well as being used when writing a letter towards the middle/end of the topic.
