This resource contains an editable, 60-slide PowerPoint lesson on 'wr' digraph words.

Pupils are introduced to both the common words containing this silent letter (write, wreath, wren, wriggle, wrong, wrestle, wrinkle, wrapper, wrinkly, wrap and more) and the less common words (wry, awry, wreak, writhe, wrench) with an explanation of their meaning. Words containing 'wr' in the middle of the word are also covered - shipwreck, playwright, typewriter, wheelwright.

The PowerPoint also includes a spelling challenge where pupils are given clues to guess the 'wr' words and then spell them.
