A lesson explaining the Spanish attempted invasion during the reign of Elizabeth I in 1588.
This lesson is intended for GCSE History (Edexcel) on Early Elizabethan England. It could easily be adapted for other boards or key stages.
It covers the battle in several stages and the students move sweets around a map (and eat them).
I hope you enjoy it. I have animated the slides and made it as fun and engaging as possible.

I have used a card sort given freely from another teacher who shared on a facebook group (I added a less able version) and the plenary is from Jivespin's website, they are made using Halftone in Ipad (a useful app, worth getting). I thank them for their efforts and ask that if you modify this resource, share it for free. Help the teaching community.
