The Department for Children, Families and Schools (DCSF) launched its ‘Time to Talk’ consultation on 6 September 2006.
It invited views from children and young people, parents, carers and professionals, on how the new department can:
- Improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people
- Safeguard the young and vulnerable
- Close the achievement gap between the advantaged and disadvantaged
- Keep raising standards
- Increase participation and attainment post-16
- Increase the number of children and young people ‘on the path to success’.
