Transition Day Poem Group Activity KS1 and KS2

This resource has three differentiated versions aimed at Years 1 and 2; Years 3 and 4; and Years 5 and 6. Children need to rearrange a rhyming couplets poem about transition, justifying through discussion why they think that their version is correct. The group then go on to write their own rhyming couplets poem to share with the class.

These activities have been designed to be used with mixed ability groups. They promote British Values by encouraging each team to talk about ideas, help each other and to be tolerant and respectful of the views and opinions of others.
