Hi, I am a primary teacher in Scotland and currently I work with learners with severe and complex additional support needs in both the primary and secondary settings. I recognise the need for good quality resources, unfortunately these are not always available to suit the needs of my visual learners who require that extra support and those that I do find often need to be adapted to meet my learners needs. I hope that you find them as useful in your classrooms as I have found them in mine.

These 8cm x 8cm visual cards are used to support learners with addition support needs during challenging transition periods. Pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder can find transition very challenging, using these cards can help to prepare them for a change in routine and from moving from one area to another, they should also be used during the transition to reduce stress and anxiety.

I use these with my learners attached to a keyring and on a lanyard so they are accessible to myself and my pupils at all times.
