Hello, my name is Tanya Lawrence. After many years of teaching music in both state & private schools, I now teach in my own small, private studio. I've always enjoyed the challenge of creating my own resources within the skill scope of a particular class and/or around a specific topic. Now, I'm enjoying offering some of these to help other teachers create their own exciting music lessons. I welcome constructive feedback on any of them.

Teaching musical notation effectively requires a firm foundation of aural training and confidence. How major scales are formed is essential basic knowledge and in this short video presentation, the fine singers of Major Street demonstrate how it’s done. Designed with visual as well as auditory learners in mind, this fun presentation is suitable for years 5-9. No prior knowledge of musical theory is necessary. Helpful for non music specialist teachers and their students.
