Objectives: Students will be able to:
Describe the importance of reef ecosystems for fish and other animal populations in the ocean.
Gather basic cultural and economic data of Caribbean island nations and coastal cities. Evaluate the data gathered to determine the importance of the reef ecosystems on the human populations of the region.
Predict possible consequences to the human populations if the reef ecosystems were damaged and/or destroyed.
