LESSON 4-5 This resource concludes a five lesson unit on ‘Riptide’. This DOUBLE lesson includes differentiated help slides at the end of the power point on prior learning/ Representational theorists and covers:

-Hyerpsexual and objectified images of women in music videos with case studies
-Can you identify any specific examples within the ‘Riptide’ video where patriarchy/ objectification is demonstrated? Create a bullet point list using the next slide to also help you.
-Scopophillia
-Woke Culture with an audio/visual exploration and debate using Staurt Hall’s Reception theory on three debates, two of which generate from Music Videos (‘Blurred Lines’ and ‘Riptide’.)
-Analysis of two unseen music videos against all of the 5 theorists with a gender and stereotypes focus/ Race, gender and sexuality.
-A recap and assessment task whereby the five theorists via the power point worksheets are applied to ‘Riptide’.

NOTE: All task sheets, differentiated resources and audio/visual stimuli are included within the lesson/ Power Point.
