This website is hosting information relating to sport at St.Christophers School. It allows you to view the various sports and events at the school. We hope it gives you an insight into how important PE is at a special school.
Val Sabin and Jo Wright have put this guide together on the skills, knowledge and understanding that pupils need in order to achieve in PE. It also covers skill progression, what should be taught and how this should be taught. It is meant to be a suggested interpretation of the New NC for PE. It also forms an integral part of Val Sabin's new Outstanding PE Guide and associated training.
In this Soccer Drill one Player make a run towards the centre cone and quickly change direction towards the box and calls for the ball and tries to score.

Rugby Drills for basic Hands - this drill is designed to improve skills in passing. The player that will run through the tunnel should run with his hands out and ready making a target for the players passing to him. The ball should be taken accross the chest in one smooth motion and should never touch the chest.

This is the first part of a revision booklet I am producing for Year 10 and 11's completing the GCSE PE course. This first section covers the topics of The Active Participant, Demands on Performance, Health, Training, Diet, and various other sub-topics...
The second part is still in production but a change in my job role has delayed this. I hope to complete the second and final part within the next month... ready for GCSE revision ;)
Hope this is still of some help.
This presentation covers part of the new AQA GCSE PE 2016 specification Physical Training unit theory content for Training Thresholds and Altitude Training. The 19 page PowerPoint presentation introduces the key information and encourages reflection via a series of exam-style questions (complete with full mark schemes) and analysis of elite performance.
The presentation should be enough to cover 2x1 hours lessons, although could be adapted slightly to include an additional research task.
Presentation is part of a package so please check this out to make a saving on the whole unit content!
This resource pack is the ideal way to start the delivery of the new AQA GCSE specification with confidence. It contains five PowerPoint presentations designed to make the delivery of the new specification theory content as simple as possible. Using my own personal experiences as a teacher and senior examiner, I hope to share my knowledge and understanding of the specification to support others with the delivery of the theory content.
I have personally created each of the PowerPoint presentations which contain a series of exam style questions, reflection tasks and video clips to support analysis of performance, based around the full content of the Physical Training Unit.
This package will save you time, worry and effort, while also allowing you to get to know the specification in more detail through time saved by accessing these resources.
Further packages will be available soon to cover the remainder of the specification. This introductory price is not one to be missed!
