Why are two eyes better than one and reaction time test hands on activity lab
Great partner activity I did with my 6th grade science class

2 activities in one fun lesson

One demonstrates how using 2 eyes we have depth perception by doing 2 different activities. One they must have 2 objects touch and the other drop something into a cup.

The second activity tests a students reaction time by catching a yardstick that is dropped.

Supplies per group
1 small cup
5 metal washers or pennies
1 Yard or meter stick

The sheet includes a data table for the yard/meter stick drop recording time and has a conversion chart into seconds by the number of inches they allowed to drop before reacting.

Answers will vary by student
