Why was Crooks treated differently?
Of Mice and Men: This is a full lesson which helps the pupils to understand and explore why Crooks is treated differently from the rest of the workers. It looks at the inept racist society at the time and allows them to view this from the point of view of Crooks, as well as taking this further to explore the equal rights movement with Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks, the skills involved is looking at other cultures, and being able to interpret information from a text, a required skill in English Lang and Lit GCSE.
