This resource is also avaibale as a complete set with PowerPoint slides and lots of extra resources for only £2 more! Please see my page
This resource is a workbook for the Nature of God unit of the Philosophy section of OCR A-level Religious Studies (A2), though could be adapted for other exam boards. Included is a complete workbook to encourage independent learning, two exemplar essays, a bunch of worksheets/extra resources to support independent work.
The workbook is 19 pages. Covered in this unit of work are various interpretations of omnipotence (including Descartes, Aquinas and Augustine); interpretations of omniscience; whether God is eternal or everlasting (including Boethius, Anselm and Swinburne); how far free will is affected; interpretations of benevolence, including whether the existence of Hell is compatible with God’s attributes; and how far the contradictions between attributes can be resolved.
There a range of different activities and key questions for discussion. The whole unit can be taught purely form the workbook with enough space for students notes and clear structure for the whole scheme of work.
I usually take approximately twelve teaching hours with the use of this booklet for the whole unit.
A complete workbook all ready to go!
Hope you enjoy and happy teaching :)
