The lesson is best conducted in groups, however, can be done as a normal classroom setting. Students have to engage with the different types of weaponry used during WW1, and listen to the scenarios of battles that took place during WW1. Students will the select the weapons they think would suit a particular event, and explain their reasons for their choices. Each weapon is given a numerical value based on its effectiveness for that particular battle. Students would need to earn a certain number of points each round, or one of their soldiers would die, meaning in the next round they would have less soldiers to distribute weapons too.
