These extra-support activities are designed to be used by a teacher or a TA with children who need extra support before they can access objectives for Year 1 Shape and Data:

• Sorting 2-D shapes with reference to their properties
• Understanding and identifying 3-D shapes

These Extra Support Activities are part of Hamilton’s Year 1 Shape & Data block. Each Hamilton maths block contains a complete set of planning and resources to teach a term’s worth of objectives for one of the National Curriculum for England’s maths areas.
