An attractive, self discovery and application based lesson designed for a successful lesson observation. This lesson covers the four stages of aerobic respiration - glycolysis, Link reaction, Krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation.

Students are given a variety of tasks to discover the stages that occur during respiration using the knowledge they have gained from studying photosynthesis. Hint and help cards are also included to enable scaffolding in lesson.

Application questions are scattered throughout to help students use their new knowledge in a variety of different contexts.

Regular assessment in the form of hinge questions and exam questions.

This is designed to take approximately 150 minutes to deliver.
