Taking inspiration from BBC Radio 1’s Rage Against the Answer Machine I have devised a scheme of work to help develop characterisation and pupils ability to create a direct address or monologue based on the idea of rage. This was initially designed for year 9 pupils as an introduction to developing character with more thought but it could be added to.

The scheme of work looks at:
Stereotypes
Seven stages of tension
Visualisation
Creating monologue and direct address
Redrafting
Feedback
Semiotics

There are 9 lessons in the pack with worksheets, links to video and sound clips.
