This is a differentiated project booklet. It has been designed for Year 7 all ability, but could be used for other years. It contains 4 enquiry questions- each has a level 3/4/5/6 task that can be chosen by the students. There is then a creative task for the students to complete. My students have really enjoyed completing this History Challenge

I use these lessons with Year 9 to introduce the rise of Hitler and Nazi Germany. This is usually the last topic in Y9 during the summer term. Lessons cover: 1. The Treaty of Versailles 2. Hitler - who was he? 3. How did Hitler rise to power? 4. Propaganda and Censorship 5. The Aryan Race - what was it? 6. The Hitler Youth 7. Nazi policies towards women 8. Persecution of the Jewish to 1939 9. The Ghettos 10. The final solution. Some of these lessons you may need a little bit more information- (not much though). Some PPs could take more than one lesson if wanted. There is also some HW ideas on some of the slides. Enjoy and use as you wish.

This is a set of newly developed resources that I use for KS3 Year 9. The lessons are all fully resourced (any worksheets are at the end of the PP) and there is no need for any text books to be used. I use these resources with Year 8 when teaching about James I. This is an introduction to witches, how to spot a witch, and the witch finder general. There is also a worksheet on Hocus Pocus the film, which can be used when watching the DVD towards the end, near Easter. Enjoy and use as you wish.

This resource is designed to be used with GCSE students when teaching about the role of women before, during and after the war. L1- The role the suffragettes had (source inference) L2- reaction to the suffragettes (source inference, reliability Q, purpose Q) L3- Women and the war- equality (source inference, explain Q) All sources are provided on the PP if you do not have the textbook. This series of lessons could take up to 5 lessons, depends on how much detail you would like the students to add and also if you wish for them to answer the exam questions after they have been planned. This is a resource I have taught to all ability year 7- (SEN alternatives are provided on the slides ) It includes L1- introduction to early settlers and what people have brought to Britain- students are to sell Stone Henge- I usually complete this task over 2 lessons L2- What does it mean to be British? L3- Create your own country- booklets for students and they are to work in groups to find out the basics to establishing their own country- usually takes 2 lessons L4- Early immigration research- find out about the Romans, Celts, Vikings, Anglo-Saxons L5- Assessment/ essay. SEN resources provided as well for assessment L6- Other immigrants L7- Positives and Negatives immigration has brought L8- Linking to modern day and the immigration problem today The whole point of this topic is to establish what is an immigrant and to conclude that everyone in Britain is an immigrant. This is a set of resources I use with Year 8 in the Summer term. I have had very positive reviews and Year 8 love to finish the year with this. This is a revision booklet that I use with my GCSE students. It is 18 pages long and covers all of the content and skills that they need to know for the exam. I have attached a PDF booklet in case it does not open correctly on your computer. The booklet contains: Tick list content Exam layout/ Exam structure grids Content the students need to revise Some basic activities NOP reliability grids The students have really responded well to this resource and have used it instead of taking home textbooks. I actually use this as a 3 exam revision guide, but thought I would sell separately, as other schools may not do all of the same exams as my school.
