Why authors recommend sharing and selling on TES
Recently, we were lucky enough to have caught some of our authors on camera as they explained what motivates them to publish resources on TES.
If you missed our headlines from the TES Author events we ran in October, check out this post for an overview of the meet-ups and a three-minute highlights video.
Passion for sharing
Our authors come from a range of different workplaces and cover a wide range of educational expertise. Many see publishing resources as a quick way to share knowledge and good teaching practice with colleagues around the world. Authors spoke passionately about the gratification they get from knowing that their resource might help even just one teacher and their respective class of pupils.
Reward for hard work
Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or hugely experienced, it's almost impossible to get away from having to create and prepare new resources for your lessons. The resounding feedback is that authors like publishing resources on TES because it allows you to make sure the time and effort you put into your resources goes further than just your class of pupils. The financial bonus is welcome too!
For the love of resources!
We were overwhelmed by the positive and enthusiastic response of the authors we spoke to. They enjoy making resources, being creative and find it easy to get started as an Author on TES. But don't take our word for it, see for yourself in the clip above!
