Valentine's Day activity ideas for primary pupils

Although Valentine's Day falls at the beginning of half term this year, there's no reason not to inspire the romantics in your class and get them in the mood for love. This selection of lesson ideas, games and printable resources is not only a great way to get your KS1 and KS2 learners thinking about the traditions and customs of 14 February, but also to ease them into their well-deserved half-term holiday:

  1. Cupid cube literacy game
    Encourage imaginative story-telling on the theme of love with this cut-out-and-make pictorial die.

    Young learners can personalise and share these illustrated cards as a Valentine’s gift for their friends.
