Tes Maths ROTW: Algebra exit tickets

Check that your learners' understanding of algebra is secure with the help of these exit tickets, from Em81

What is it?

I love using exit tickets as a method of formative assessment. Ideal for checking that pupils have grasped the basics, this particular collection focuses on algebra.

Covering a variety of key topics, this neatly-organised pack is full of easy-to-mark questions. And, designed so that four questions fit onto one page, it’s also kind to the photocopying budget. What more could you want?

How can it be used?

These exercises are great for cementing students’ knowledge at the end of a topic and identifying any lingering misconceptions.

For an added challenge, why not delay handing out the tickets until later on in the term? By presenting them to students after they've started a new subject area, you can check that vital knowledge from previous lessons has been retained.
