What is it?

For students, knowing the skills involved in a particular topic is quite different from being able to apply them in longer, unstructured exam questions. To help them overcome this struggle, I was delighted to find this series of 10 lessons.

Each lesson comes complete with a PowerPoint presentation and worksheet, covering topics from Pythagoras to exchange rates.

How can it be used?

Ideal for the final push towards the GCSE exams when students know the content but key marks are being still dropped, this resource tackles the issue by ascertaining how ready they are for their exams. For each topic, learners can attempt consolidation questions before moving onto more challenging ones, which come with different levels of support and corresponding "exam-readiness" percentages.

My Year 11 class were focused and engaged in this activity, enjoying both the support and the challenge. And it has certainly given them much-needed boost of confidence in the run up to the exams.
