Recap the basics of trigonometry with these exam-style questions, from Maths4Everyone
What is it?
As the summer exams are rapidly approaching, it’s time to start thinking about revision. I am always on the lookout for resources that will help my Year 11s prepare for their GCSEs as efficiently as possible. Thankfully, this trigonometry activity does just that.
The premise is simple. Consisting of a single A4 sheet, students must work their way through 12 SOHCAHTOA questions. Ready-to-use and jam-packed with questions that vary in complexity, this resource is ideal for recapping the essentials. And, even better, fully-worked solutions are included!
How can it be used?
This exercise is ideal as an independent revision activity, or an as an end-of-unit recap.
Alternatively, why not give pupils this worksheet part of a revision lesson? Simply challenge students to complete as many questions as possible within an allotted amount of time, before sharing the answers. This will allow you to immediately see the areas that learners are struggling in, and intervene accordingly.
