The Clown Who Couldn't Smile Play Script

The Clown Who Couldn't Smile Play Script

The Clown Who Couldn't Smile is a one-act play for KS2 pupils. It's a gentle comedy that explores the notion of happiness and the meaning of friendship. When Bonzo the clown loses his smile, he struggles to find it again and is in danger of losing his job at the circus, until help arrives unexpectedly. This play is great as a stimulus for discussing what it means to be happy. It also provides opportunities to include circus routines, gymnastics, musical extracts and a number of children in non-speaking roles. The script contains full staging and production notes, plus great follow-on drama and literacy activities for further classroom work. Please leave a review if you found this resource useful, thank you.

Find the rabbit at the circus - Easter themed Handwriting Game, KS1 and KS2, Year 1 to 6.

Find the rabbit at the circus - Easter themed Handwriting Game, KS1 and KS2, Year 1 to 6.

This is a great Easter resource to help develop handwriting skills. It is a game where the children have to find the rabbit hidden amongst a picture from a circus theme. Once they have found the rabbit they need to complete the sentence 'The rabbit is...' All answers are provided. The children will need to use the prepositions of under, behind, next to, on for them to complete the sentence. As a children's occupational therapist I love to create handwriting sheets that are fun, creative and successful. These sheets will help children develop the visual skills needed to write. By noticing differences in a picture it will help them look out for the difference in letter formations e.g. the difference between writing l or t. They have been produced in colour but to save printing costs they can be printed in black and white. There are 9 in total and each sheet will take 5 minutes to complete., giving you 45 minutes worth of activities.
