French Numbers Presentation 0 to 100

French Numbers Presentation 0 to 100

A Powerpoint presentation with more than 60 slides, taking learners through French numbers from 0 to 100. Featuring key teaching points for Les Nombres / Les Numeros / Les Chiffres, it breaks them down into small chunks of ten numbers at a time so that teachers can use whatever part of the presentation suits the needs of their class. There are recap slides at various points with tables of numbers and also slides with numbers in French and English for pupils to translate, with answers appearing on the click of the mouse. There are slides with large numbers in digit format to play a game of 'splat' where the teacher can call out a French number and children can compete in threes or so to hit the number on the whiteboard (if you're not using a touchscreen) but this can also be used for other teacher questioning. The last few slides introduce some mental maths in French, introducing words for 'add', 'subtract', 'multiplied by', and 'divide by'. There are some calculations using just numbers from 0-40 and then some using numbers to 100. For children to become really familiar with French numbers it's great to get them playing around with them in maths activities. These last few slides would serve as a good introduction to using French numbers in calculations and could be developed by using some of my French mental maths resources, which you can purchase as part of a bundle with this presentation or individually if you prefer. You can click on the links below to investigate further.

French Numbers / Maths Four in a Row Games 0-100 / 0-40

French Numbers / Maths Four in a Row Games 0-100 / 0-40

6 gameboards for French Maths (Les Maths) Four in a Row, with differentiation. For children to become really familiar with French numbers it's great to get them playing around with them in maths activities. Most questions can be answered using mental strategies. This is a fun, strategic game to consolidate les numeros/ les nombres by answering maths questions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This pack would suit a range of ages, abilities and experience of French.Pack includes:4 diffferent gameboards for maths involving numbers from 0 to 100 and generally more challenging maths questions2 different gameboards for maths involving numbers from 0 to 40 with generally simpler maths questionsAll answers included in separate files for at-a-glance checking by pupils or teacherNon-colour versions included (in the same file as the colour ones for 0 to 40 version, in a separate file for the 0 to 100 version)Intended to be laminated and used again and again. In this activity children can either work as pairs against pairs or one against one to get four correct answers in a row. They could roll a dice to find which column they have to pick a calculation from (the columns are numbered 1-6). If there are no questions left in the column whose number they have rolled, they could either skip a go or roll again. They could either use a different coloured whiteboard pen to record answers on the board or add an initial or symbol if using the same colour as the opponent. I recommend printing in A3 but it will work fine in A4 too.I hope this saves you time. I would be grateful for a review if you can spare a moment.I use the following words for the four operations:plus - addmoins - minusfois - timesdivisé par - divided byYou may be interested in some of my other French maths resources: French Mental Maths Self Check Trail Cards 0-40 (Ca Fait Combien?)French Mental Maths Self Check Trail Cards 0-100 (Ca Fait Combien?)I also have a popular pack with everything you need to teach key French weather vocabulary in a fun way:French Weather Lesson Plan and Activities (La Meteo)For lots more engaging, great value Maths, Literacy and French resources, visit FullShelf Resources

For older pupils, more able pupils or pupils more experienced in French, you might prefer the 0-100 version of this resource: French Mental Maths Self Check Trail Cards 0-100 (Ca Fait Combien?)Print on card and laminate for regular use, with pupils using a whiteboard pen to record answers on the card. You could print double-sided or put two trails in the same laminating pouch back to back. A start and end number are printed on each card, so pupils can work from left to right down the rows, working out each calculation and recording a running total, until they reach the end, where they can check if they arrived at the correct final number. Children will enjoy the challenge of fixing errors themselves. You could print and laminate the answer cards too to aid self-checking (perhaps printing 4 cards to a page to save printing/laminating - they're still perfectly readable shrunk to this size). Pupils could be given the opportunity to decide whether to work in pairs or individually, whether to time themselves or use it as a game to race against other pupils. Some might get quite competitive! FRENCH TELLING THE TIME (1) - FIVE GAMES & CHALLENGES PACK

FRENCH TELLING THE TIME (1) - FIVE GAMES & CHALLENGES PACK

PERFECT FOR PRACTISING HOW TO TELL THE TIME IN FRENCH - 5 GAMES, 5 CHALLENGES!- I HAVE , WHO HAS - 2 GAMES, 2 CHALLENGES- DIFFERENTIATED DOMINOES - 3 GAMES, 3 CHALLENGES - FOCUS ON O'CLOCK, HALF PAST, QUARTER TO AND QUARTER PAST THE HOURI HAVE, WHO HAS? is a great language learning game. The repetitive nature of the questions and answers, supported by the visual prompt of the clock faces, makes it perfect for practising, reinforcing and refreshing how to tell the time in FRENCH. It’s a whole-group communicative game, with a multi-skill focus on speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary-building and developing accurate pronunciation. The game really does help to create a lively language learning environment, and is a great alternative to more traditional 'drilling' activities. There are two games, each with a different challenge:CHILLOUT CHALLENGE - with the clock times in numerical orderCHAMPION CHALLENGE - with the clock times in topsy-turvy order, which really does encourage students to focus on how to tell the time in FRENCH!DINKY FRENCH TELLING THE TIME DIFFERENTIATED DOMINOES GAMES will help your students develop their skill in telling the time in FRENCH in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, learning independently of the teacher. The games are ideal for independent learning, and perfect for pair and small-group work. There are three games and three levels of challenge:GAME 1: CHILLOUT CHALLENGE features the analogue times in numerical order, 1 — 12GAME 2: CHAMPION CHALLENGE features all the times in topsy-turvy order, which really gets students thinking about how to tell the time in FRENCHGAME 3: SUPER-CHARGED CHALLENGE features all the times in topsy-turvy order, with the clock faces first, so students really do need to know how to tell the time in FRENCH to complete the domino sequence in record time! Play as warmers, starters and plenaries across the whole school year. Playing against a timer in teams works really well too. The games feature analogue clock times, 1-12, including midday and midnight, with o'clock, half past, a quarter to and a quarter past the hour. I've classed the games as suitable for ages 7-16, because it really does depend on the age at which your students begin their FRENCH, the language themes and concepts they're currently working on, and what areas of learning they might need to focus on during revision periods. The resource itself consists of three, non-editable files. The I HAVE, WHO HAS and the DOMINOES GAMES are also available separately if you prefer, each priced at £3.00.Please read the Terms of Use carefully - this resource is copyright, and for single-classroom use only.MERCI BEAUCOUP ET BON DIVERTISSEMENT !

These booklets contain the non-negotiable vocabulary all students really need. I have added in some interactive lessons as well that can be used to recap the basics. These can be uploaded on a VLE for students to practise their pronunciation at home.
