Mes vacances et ma passion-Les Alpes

Mes vacances et ma passion-Les Alpes

I tried to select a nice topic and theme to teach and revise various skills and grammatical aspects . It links to Expo3 ( la Normandie ) rouge with the discovery of an area but I jaust added more on this so students get to compare areas and see how varied France is. I will add more through a different power point and add worksheets , this is taking ages .... hope it helps. I used the interactive quiz with the gap fill as a little starter and introduction about the Alps before showing the Power Point.

Les repas, using 3 tenses. Studio 2 Module 4

Les repas, using 3 tenses. Studio 2 Module 4

This is a lesson based on Studio 2, module 4 chez moi, chez toi, but I added the near future tense in the lesson, as the texts from the Studio dod not allow for this and there was a need to stretch more able. You will need to refer to the texts from Studio 2 to do the translations, but these can be done without looking at the texts if Studio 2 is not used. The sequencing activities was a differentiated activitiy to stretch more able while others needed consolidation with the tenses ( refer to lesson plan )

Au cinema is a writing frame designed to guide students written work to include a variety of linguistic features necessary for GCSE. The support phrases are in both French and English, you could leave this as cover work or give as homework or revision in preparation for the written or the spoken exam. I have used this with a top year 9 group as a challenge and they wrote some interesting pieces or with a year 10 or 11 group especially those who need more encouragement and guidance.

arranging to go to the cinema

arranging to go to the cinema

This is a dialogue about arranging to go out to the cinema. The dialogue is in the wrong order. I laminate several copies, I cut each sentence out and give them to groups of students to rearrange in the right order. Students then can use it to make their own dialogue and perform role-plays on the topic.

FRENCH - Clothing and Shopping Card Game (100 cards)

FRENCH - Clothing and Shopping Card Game (100 cards)

This is a card game to use in activities about clothes and shopping for clothes during French lessons. The cards represent different kinds of clothes with colour and style variations (such as long and short sleeve t-shirts and shirts…). There are also a few cards with questions you may use for a shopping activity (‘Quelle taille ?’, ‘Quelle pointure ?’, ‘C’est combien ?’), as well as cards with the names of the clothes, so that the students can match them with the drawings (useful to make them learn the vocabulary). There are 100 cards in total. The files are ready to print, recto verso, and there are registration marks and bleed marks to help you or your reprographics department print them.I would recommend printing them in A3, and to laminate them in individual pouches (they are the size of a business card). If you need any help with the files, feel free to drop a message.
