FRENCH - Clothing and Shopping Card Game (100 cards)

FRENCH - Clothing and Shopping Card Game (100 cards)

This is a card game to use in activities about clothes and shopping for clothes during French lessons. The cards represent different kinds of clothes with colour and style variations (such as long and short sleeve t-shirts and shirts…). There are also a few cards with questions you may use for a shopping activity (‘Quelle taille ?’, ‘Quelle pointure ?’, ‘C’est combien ?’), as well as cards with the names of the clothes, so that the students can match them with the drawings (useful to make them learn the vocabulary). There are 100 cards in total. The files are ready to print, recto verso, and there are registration marks and bleed marks to help you or your reprographics department print them.I would recommend printing them in A3, and to laminate them in individual pouches (they are the size of a business card). If you need any help with the files, feel free to drop a message.

Y8 Clothes topic Challenge Tasks

Y8 Clothes topic Challenge Tasks

Challenge tasks or extension work on the topic of clothes. These are all based on authentic French resources (mainly infographs found on Pinterest) with comprehension questions added. I put these up on my 'Challenge Wall' in the classroom for the term and direct any students to them who finish their work early. To save photocopying costs I encourage students not to write on the sheets and to put them back on the wall when they're finished. I find that students get a huge sense of achievement from knowing that they are reading and understanding real French literature! As an extra incentive to try more difficult work I offer 'challenge stars' in return for tackling these tricky tasks. These are converted periodically into merits.

Tenses and Translations practice in French with the shopping topic

Tenses and Translations practice in French with the shopping topic

This progressive resource is aimed at students learning French at low and higher levels. It contains a list of regular and irregular verbs related to the shopping topic. The conjugation of irregular verbs and verbs with spelling changes is included. Students can refer to it when doing the activities. The tenses used in the exercices are: present, perfect, imperfect, future, conditional and pluperfect. Students can fill the gaps with just the tense you are studying. I have also included the answers in French as well as in English so that the resource can be used to practice translating (some notes were added to help doing just that). This resource allows me to check the progress of my students: Once they master the present, perfect, imperfect and future, I ask them to do the conditional and pluperfect tenses exercices. The game 'Translate and reveal the French expression' can be used as homework or pair work (all tenses are needed except the pluperfect). You will also find in my shop fgibbison, some vocabulary, reading and listening (with recording) resources related to this topic and many other fun resources in English, German and Spanish.I would love to hear how you got on with this resource: Thank you for leaving a review.I thoroughly review my resources to ensure that they are accurate. However, should you find some errors, I would appreciate if you could let me know. Merci Françoise.
