FRENCH VOCABULARY (3) - PRACTICE & REVISION - 99 WORDS & PHRASES

99 ESSENTIAL WORDS AND PHRASES FOR BEGINNING FRENCH LEARNERS- PERFECT FOR PRACTISING AND REVISING FRENCH VOCABULARY!This set of games and activities really do help students to develop and embed their beginning FRENCH vocabulary in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way. They’re ideal for independent learning, and perfect for pair and small-group work. Students can quiz/test themselves and each other on a regular basis - they're a very popular alternative to more traditional vocabulary 'drilling tasks', and really do help to create a lively language learning environment. This set works well as a standalone resource, and is also a great complement to other sets in the series. ENSEMBLE 3 features 99 BEGINNING WORDS AND PHRASES that students are likely to meet in the INTRODUCTORY stages of their FRENCH learning:* Le français pour la salle de classe (3)* Les animaux - definite & indefinite article* Les matières scolaires* Les fruits et légumes* Les nombres 41-60* Bavarder ensemble ! I've described the resource as suitable for ages 11-14, but it does depend on the age at which your students begin FRENCH - the games and activities work well with any appropriate learning group, depending on their starting point. Each set comprises the following non-editable files:- FRENCH and ENGLISH game cards, with all the words and phrases to use in a variety of games and activities - I've suggested a range of games and activities that have worked well for me. This file also includes the game card template, which encourages your students to apply their developing knowledge of FRENCH practically and creatively- An 18-page REFERENCE, RECALL & WRITE booklet, with 3 differentiated RECALL AND WRITE activities:CHILLOUT CHALLENGE: students write from memory all the words and phrases in ENGLISH from a FRENCH prompt - all the words/phrases are in their language categoryCHAMPION CHALLENGE: students write from memory all the words and phrases in FRENCH from an ENGLISH prompt - again, all the words and phrases are in their language categorySUPERCHARGED CHALLENGE: all the words and phrases appear in random order, and switch from FRENCH to ENGLISH at each questionSETS 1-3 featuring 297 words and phrases are also available as a combined pack if you prefer, priced at £7.00 - have a look at it here:https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-vocabulary-sets-1-2-and-3-games-and-activities-11553100 Please read the Terms of Use carefully - this resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. Key Stage 3 Revision Pictures Blockbuster

Here is a variation of my Pictures Blockbusters template for PowerPoint designed specifically for KS3 pupils. It offers a great way to revise about numbers, time, sports, likes and dislikes, opinions, school subjects, school routine... The concept is simple. 25 boxes are filled with numbers, questions or English words that pupils have to say in French. If the pupils answer correctly you click on the box and it disappears. I used for this template images from France so the pupils can discover a new tourist attraction every time.

Tenses and Translations practice in French with the school topic

Tenses and Translations practice in French with the school topic

This progressive resource is aimed at students learning French at low and higher levels. It contains a list of regular and irregular verbs related to the school topic. The conjugation of irregular verbs and verbs with spelling changes is included. Students can refer to it when doing the activities. The tenses used in the exercices are: present, perfect, imperfect, future, conditional and pluperfect. Students can fill the gaps with just the tense you are studying. I have also included the answers in French as well as in English so that the resource can be used to practice translating (some notes were added to help doing just that). This resource allows me to check the progress of my students: Once they master the present, perfect, imperfect and future, I ask them to do the conditional and pluperfect tenses exercices. The game 'Translate and reveal the French expression' can be used as homework or pair work (all tenses are needed except the pluperfect). You will also find in my shop fgibbison many other fun resources in English, German and Spanish.I would love to hear how you got on with this resource: Thank you for leaving a review.I thoroughly review my resources to ensure that they are accurate. However, should you find some errors, I would appreciate if you could let me know. Merci Françoise.
