Techno aus Deutschland

Techno aus Deutschland

Inspired by a visit to the Goethe Institut Glasgow this activity has been developed for fun and entertainment in the German classroom. A disco visit is in the centre of this techno song. Multiple choice and revision of 'weil' as well as a little insight into German youth language is on offer with this resource. The video is on you tube and was uploaded by laserkraft3d. Please feed back, thanks.

This is a set of lyrics about food and basic opinions about food, to be sung to the tune of Kylie Minogue´s "Can´t Get You Out Of My Head". I guarantee students will still be singing it to you 5 years down the line!!!

Musical instruments

Musical instruments

A power point introducing/revising musical instruments, combined with frequency. I had problems with some of the sound files for the listening activity at the end when I got in school but couldn't work out why. They are just off the mircosoft office website so you should be able to find them and add them if you also have trouble. Sorry about this but the idea is there anyway! http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/clipart/default.aspx

Das Zeit-Ballett

Das Zeit-Ballett

time, good starter or plenary I play this ppt while, at the same time, playing some music from Rondo Veneziano (Las Serissima) or other music. The students picture their arms as the hands of a clock and try to reflect the time stated on the slides. The following slide is for them to check their answer. Play it slow the first time for everyone to get an idea how this works, and speed up the next lessons. In the end this looks like a class dancing ballett and usually it is a good laugh!! Have fun !!

Das Past - the German Past Tense Healthy Living Rap/Song

Das Past - the German Past Tense Healthy Living Rap/Song

This is a rap or song that includes a range of key verbs and their respective past tense forms for KS3/KS4 German. I prepared it for my class when working on the topic of health. It tells the story of an ex drug addict who overcomes his struggle... My pupils are really into rap and music and so they really loved it! We first went through all the structures, then went through all pronunciations and finally pupils came up with the idea to perform it using a gangsta rap instrumental track in the background: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IK-p7EFRs2wI hope you enjoy it!
