German Fairy Tale "Der Hase un der Igel" - read, laugh, write

Revising for written exams and/or need an enjoyable German lesson?Motivate students to learn and write with a humourous, lesser-known Grimms fairy tale with colourful slides and parallel English text. This lesson meets requirements for Key Stage 3 writing and grammar, but is adaptable to other levels. First focus on reading and guessing meaning from context, then use the story’s sentences as templates to consolidate use of sentence structure & some grammar items. Students are motivated by the humour and the opportunity to be creative. The lesson can be divided into 2 45-minute sessions or used in part as desired.

new GCSE style photo card - Freetime - German

new GCSE style photo card - Freetime - German

In this file there are 5 photo cards on Freetime, based on the new AQA German GCSE. These could be used as a speaking assessment or revision between pupils. Each page has a teacher and a student version of the photo card on it. The student version only shows the first three questions and the teacher one has an additional two. The first question on each photo card prompts the student to describe the photo, and there is always one question where the student has to give an opinion. Furthermore, there is also always at least one question in another tense.I am also selling photo card resources on other topics.

All About Music

All About Music

Just doing Media/ Music with my year 11, I realised there are lots of songs but not that much ABOUT music. Hence a little collection of activities to talk about music/ preferences/ singers etc. Some of the sources I used: Kaleidos website, several music blogs (thank you to all fanatic music lovers!). The Whizzy Loop was adapted from some French material - thank you to the creator. The DIY Interview is meant to show the 'Lego' character of language - building bricks for different occasions.
