Learning Russian Bundle

Learning Russian Bundle

Are you learning Russian? Are you looking for fun pictures to go with your learning? I have created 57 different settings to talk about. I have made the worksheets into different games. The worksheets themselves are in English but you would learn by translating the words and objects you can see in each picture into Russian and with a Russian teacher, you could have an interesting conversation about each set of images.

Family: Russian Vocabulary Card Sort

Family: Russian Vocabulary Card Sort

This is a card sort to help students learn words for family members (20 words in total). This would be a useful task with younger groups or low ability groups. There are three separate files, depending on how you want to present the task.- The 'teacher copy' shows a grid with all items already matched. - The 'student version' is a random layout, print this out and give to students. They can then cut out the items and match them, or stick them into their workbooks.- The 'quick cut' is designed so that you can produce 10 packs of cards quickly and easily using a guillotine. Each page has the same card 10 times over. This allows you to remove words that may not be suitable or needed. Alternatively you can print the same page twice double-sided to produce flash cards.

It could be used as writing assessment for students learning Russian. The students could write about a topic in Russian before starting a unit, and then write again about the topic, using the second worksheet at the end of the topic to see how much they have progressed. It could also be used as an introduction to guided writing. Students can write sentences as a class and share the sentences together and they can then write them on their own. Alternatively, students could work in pairs - one student dictates to the other what to write down about what they see in the picture.

If the player can name it, s/he wins a point and X or O is drawn in the corresponding square on the white board grid.8. If the player can not name it, the other player may attempt it as a bonus score.9. The second player now has a/another turn.10. At the end of the game, when closing the presentation, a dialogue box will open asking if you want to save the game. Click on "Don't save".11. If by mischance you save the game in its altered form, you still have the original. Delete the renamed game and re-save the original under a new name. This is quicker than trying to reinstate the blue rectangles.
