Preguntas orales para Spanish Year 1 (AQA)_Bank of prompting questions and advice

Preguntas orales para Spanish Year 1 (AQA)_Bank of prompting questions and advice

¡Al fin acabé!I have finally finished putting together oral questions to practice for the speaking. This is a 26 pages booklet with a few hundred questions that students can use to practice but also to research some topic areas. First couple of pages also include info about the oral examination and some tips. And then, there is a bank of idioms that students can use with translations and examples of the idioms so that they can see how they would be used. They are all grouped per topic but can be used for lots of other topics.

Spanish AS 2016 - Questions to prepare for the speaking exam

Spanish AS 2016 - Questions to prepare for the speaking exam

This is a 17-pages workbook I have created for my Year 12 students this year according to the new exam and specification given by Edexcel. Having a look at the sample materials, I have realised the way they ask questions have changed a little bit. They are not asked their opinion on something irrelevant, it is always something to do with the Spanish or Latin American cultures. For example, they are not asked "Do you like music?" but "What do you think about Spanish music?". Following this I have created this booklet which includes questions on all topics and a brief explanation of the exam.

Speaking cards, general questions and improvised situations La influencia de los ídolos (AQA)

Speaking cards, general questions and improvised situations La influencia de los ídolos (AQA)

This is the forth installment of cards, general questions and improvised situations that I have created (others also available in this site). Some of the context of the cards are: singers who sing using swear words, beauty pageants in Mexico, models who break mold, footballers who appear in ads, etc.The improvised situations practise expressing the opposite opinion and reasoning it.I enclose a brief preview to give you an idea of the material. If you found the resource useful (or not), I would be most grateful for a comment.Again, I hope that £2 is a reasonable price for everybody: it cuts your work and it rewards mine.I will be producing cards for Unit 5 shortly, so watch this space.Any comments here or at bgp@stbrn.ac.uk gratefully received.Enjoy!

Spanish Vocabulary Lists for the AQA topics of Family, Cyber, Idols, Heritage and Identity

Spanish Vocabulary Lists for the AQA topics of Family, Cyber, Idols, Heritage and Identity

Find attached the pdf and word files for the 3 first units that I have made for my students. It includes lots of vocabulary for every unit! The aim is that first students try to fill in as much as possible and then they use the dictionaries in class and work in groups to add the translation. Or you can set it for homework. We use the lists almost every lesson and they do some minutes of silent revision of the column we are currently learning, practice testing and then I test them using the miniwhiteboards. At the end of the lesson I test them again using the miniwhiteboards. They also have the Memrise courses for every column.

No te metas a mi facebook

No te metas a mi facebook

A gapped song worksheet (with answers) and a powerpoint to go through the activities. The song is a Spanish pop song that gently mocks facebook and how it is used. It could be a nice activity with either a GCSE or an AS class. I used it for an AS Spanish taster day session. I originally got the worksheet from another teacher (I can't remember who, sorry!). This is my adaptation and acompanying powerpoint.
