Spanish KS3 GCSE holidays preterite past tense las vacaciones preterite reading writing

Spanish KS3 GCSE holidays preterite past tense las vacaciones preterite reading writing

A stand alone lesson to introduce the topic of holidays using some key past tense verbs. The resources (a PowerPoint and Worksheet) will guide pupils to be able to talk about their holidays in the past tense by the end of the lesson. The key verbs are introduced and pupils do activities to recognise and memorise these. These are then used in a reading so pupils can start to see how they work. Pupils are then introduced to the rules for -AR verb conjugation and have an opportunity to practise key verbs for the topic, with all subject pronouns. The plenary brings all of this together by asking pupils to write/ say a paragraph based on the visual information on a slide. They can then use this as a model for their own work. There is also a plenary reading comprehension task with a gap-fill activity and this can then be used by pupils to model their own answer on.

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Holiday

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Holiday

I have put every word in the vocabulary list that OCR publishes onto flashcards. This pack is just on the topic of holidays, but I have published all the other topics here on TES. If you are familiar with these words then the exam will be incredibly easy, since these are the only words that they will use in the exam. In this bundle, I have printed a pack with pictures, a pack in which you fold down the middle and a pack which you print double sided. The different packs are all exactly the same words, just choose the one which will help the words stick in your mind.

If the resource is printed in colour, back-to-back on A4 paper and then laminated it can be used as a tool for supported speech in both French and Spanish. It can also be used as a tool for supporting teaching on the differences between past, present and future tenses or as set phrases for writing activities.
