"Spot the mistake" activity can be used to assess pupil's understanding of a topic. The aim is for pupils find the mistakes in an already the matched up jigsaw and they should then correct those mistakes.
Each resource comes complete with instructions and solutions.

Foldables can be used as a revision or summary exercise at the end of a topic. As the answers are hidden pupils can use these to ‘test’ themselves or ask someone else such as a parent to test them. They also make a great addition to any class book, making it an interactive notebook.This foldable requires pupils to recall the formulae needed for the Core 1 Arithmetic Sequences of A Level Mathematics. Here is my power point trying to structure questions for C2 from past papers. I have split the paper into 9 sections and tried to group questions together. All solutions are given at a click. For use by giving to pupils and leaving them to it, or working through topics as a class. Every question from 2006-present. Also works extremely well on iPads.

A comprehensive lesson scaffolded to accommodate for students that have not seen this before. I used this in a lesson observation and was judged outstanding. It should last 1 lesson if paced correctly.

Examples labelled WB correspond to the separately attached 'Workbook' (I give this as a single booklet so pupils have a clear model answer to each topic). References to Exercises are from the Pearson Edexcel FP2 textbook. Mistakes on complex numbers now corrected.

Summation/Sigma Notation – Math puzzleI’ve included two different sizes of the same puzzle. The smaller size is only two pages and it great if you are going to print of individual copies for students to practice with in class or at home. The larger size requires 8 pieces of paper and quite a bit of space to solve – fun for centers and group work!Cut out the puzzle pieces (or even better if your students do it themselves) and students are to solve the puzzle so that it matches the solution provided. If your students are going to cut out the pieces then no prep is needed – the puzzle is not in order.I’ve been using these puzzles for years with great success! I recommend printing the puzzles on colourful paper and laminating them.
