Resources and ideas for mathematics, geometry and measures, angles, written by teachers to support teaching and learning

#### Angles KS2

There are about 17 (practical and fun) lesson activities, tasks or worksheets to cover the following 2014 objectives: Recognise angles as a property of shape or a description of a turn. Identify right angles, recognise that two right angles make a half-turn, three make three-quarters of a turn and four a complete turn; identify whether angles are greater than or less than a right angle. This is one of the children's favourite activities to help understand angles. Ideas for children of all abilities to have fun learning about angles.***Thank you for downloading. Please look for the large files (Flip -chart and PDF) which contain all the resources without the Paws & Clause watermark. ***Check out my other resources at - https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/shop/jreadshaw

#### Angles in a polygon

This is a lesson which demonstrates to students the sum of the angles in a variety of polygons through the knowledge of the angles in a triangle. The lesson then looks at a method of finding the interior and exterior angles of regular polygons. This resource also contains a worksheet for either classwork or homework (answers to follow!)

#### Angles in a Polygon Revision lesson

This lesson is designed for my Key stage 4 classes. Through a series of worked examples the class revise how to find the number of sides for a regular polygon or the size of interior and exterior angles. Plus further problems. The lesson also contains a worksheet with solutions.

#### Types of Angles, Classifying Angles Math Color and Learn Activity

Types of Angles Color and Learn Activity for Elementary and Middle School Math ClassesThese 5 pages will help your students to learn about acute, right, obtuse and reflex angles.Coloring while learning helps the brain process information, and is also great for practicing fine motor skills.

#### Last Minute Maths Reasoning Paper 2017 SATS Revision. Year 6 - KS2.

A flip chart and SATS style question paper based on both reasoning papers (paper 2 and paper 3) . Created by a year six teacher (89% maths at and above expected pass rate last year), maths coordinator and deputy head. Used on the afternoon before the 2016 maths SATS tests and updated in 2017. The flip chart allows the teacher to model the mathematics concept with a SATS style question and then gives the pupil the opportunity to use and apply what they have just seen. This is designed specifically for revision purposes as I have found my class sometimes fail to retain certain mathematical methods or struggle to use what they know to figure out what they don't. THIS IS AN ACTIVINSPIRE FLIP CHART

#### SATs KS2 Year 6 Revision Maths and Reading Comprhension

Maths and Reading Comprehension SATs bundle. Includes plans, games, resources and SATs style questions. Created by a year 6 teacher, maths coordinator and deputy head. Tried and tested in 2016 (89% pass rate at expected or above) and updated for 2017.
