UK Coins Piggy Bank Matching

This resource is a fun and engaging activity for students to work on their coin recognition and matching skills. All the coins included in this pack are UK coins. There are 10 different piggy banks included that are filled with different coins. They come in 2 levels - 5 different coins in the piggy bank to match and 8 different coins in the piggy bank to match. You can use real coins or the coins that are provided in this resource pack. UK Coins Making Money Piggy Banks

UK Coins Making Money Piggy Banks

This resource is a fun and engaging activity for students to work on their coin recognition and money making skills. Students simply read the price tag that is on the piggy bank and use real coins or coins provided in this pack to make up the amount that it says. There are flashcards for price tags from £0.01 right up to £3. This resource is a great way to get students thinking and adding money. I highly recommend cutting out and laminating each of the individual flashcards that you will be using, the coins (if you are using these instead of real coins) and a few copies of the pig (so that you have multiple copies so multiple pupils can work at one time if you want). This can be done as small group activities, a full class activity or even 1:1 work for working on money targets.Comes in col and and b/w option for your preference. This resource contains UK coins.

Math Games Learning MULTIPLICATION TIMES TABLES Roll Cover Bump Games

Math Games Learning MULTIPLICATION TIMES TABLES Roll Cover Bump Games

Learning times tables has never been more fun! These printable math centre games are the perfect way to allow students to use and memorise multiplication facts. These are ROLL COVER BUMP games, so there is an extra element of fun and thinking strategy. In a classroom situation, this range easily caters for all abilities; in Math Centres it is a great activity; all children playing the same game, but at a level of difficulty suited for each individual. There is a sports themed board for each tabe, a set if instructions to print on the reverse side and a tables grid for reference, until students have memorised the facts.Players need one of these game boards, 10 counters each and a 12-sided die (or two 6-sided dice)Times Tables Games: a board for each multiplication table 2-12. These are roll, cover, bump games, so fun as you learn.Playing in pairs encourages students to talk about their decisions, successes, mistakes and I believe this sharing of ideas is vital to education. In the beginning I allow students to use the tables grid to assist them, but in my experience, eventually they realise they no longer need it. That’s when I know they can move on to the next table! The files are for mostly black printing. I print (usually on colour paper) and laminate. These games help students learn facts and whilst having fun. SUCCESS!

Times Tables Maths Activity Ice Cream Challenge

Times Tables Maths Activity Ice Cream Challenge

This is a set of cards to challenge students to practise their quick recall of multiplication facts. The idea is simple. Print and laminate for re-use.There are 8 individual boards, because after a few attempts, students become familiar with the placement of the numbers, so you need to swap boards to mix it up.In the middle circle student writes the table they are practising, eg 8XThen, they work their way around the circle of ice creams, multiplying the numbers on the cone by the one they wrote in the middle. They write their answer on the scoop. This is more effective as a partner activity, so someone can time how long it takes their friend to complete. I add a time penalty (5 sec) for every incorrect answer, otherwise some kids don’t care. The challenge is to strive and achieve a personal best time.I’ve included an individual record keeping sheet for students: and some awards to recognise achievements. I allow students to colour and decorate their award, so there is no need for colour printing.I’ve repeated the boards in greyscale, if you prefer for copying.
